Author Pez not only outlines easy to do facial exercises, she also explains exactly how and why they benefit your facial muscles and complexion. It is easy to learn the exercise routine so you no longer need the detailed photos in the book to guide you along, allowing you to easily perform a 5-minute set whenever you have a spare couple of minutes. You can perform all or any of the 30 exercises presented, depending if you only want to concentrate on a problem area, like a double chin. Your face is always among the first things people notice about you and a smile can only go so far to make you beautiful. These exercises may not be able to work miracles, but they are an affordable way to avoid cosmetic surgery and achieve a natural facelift by investing only a few minutes every day!

I've attached 4 photos, I am so glad I took these, these exercises really work! Honestly I have lost 10 lbs but the upper lip improvement can't be attributed to weight loss. I do these daily while on the elliptical at the gym. (Yes I look silly but I don't care.) I use the camera on the phone like a mirror to check that I'm doing them right and use pictures from the book in my photo library as cues. Used to take me an hour, now I've got it down to 30 minutes. I picked exercises for the neck, oval of the face, lips and nasolabial area. Very very happy with my results, highly recommend!

I've been doing these exercises every day for about a month or so. In my pictures pay attention to the jaw line and neck area. I did all the exercises, but I concentrated on this area. Day 1 vs. Week 4. It works. Not sure why the name of the book is The 5-minute Facial Workout. It does take about half an hour. Totally worth it.

This is an easy to read, easy to follow illustrated book on firming the face and neck by toning the underlying muscles. I have only been doing the exercises for a week, and already I have noticed a big difference in the skin on my neck. It is much tighter now. Also, the jowls on my chin line have tightened, but not as much as the neck...so far.Great book and I highly recommend it.

Great book!. Clear directions and illustrations showing the muscles involved in the different facial workouts. I was kind of lucky that the awful things to my face didn't start happening until my 70s. Maybe because i always exercised and took vitamins - who knows. But it is extremely unsettling to see one's face fall < literally, and mouth disappear.As other Reviewers have mentioned, one sees the difference in the lips first - thank you Ms Pez - and for me also the cheeks. My next major work is my double chin, but I'm confident that will happen because the theory of facial workouts is grounded in common sense. We all exercise for toning our bodies, the same should be done for our face.I saw facial exercises on YouTube, but none beat what Ms. Pez has given us in her book. I highly recommend Facial Workout and at this price, it's nothing but a winner!

There is no way to do all these exercises in 5 minutes, there are 30 and each takes 50 seconds. But, I really liked how the book was laid out. Before each exercise is a photo clearly showing what muscles the exercise will concentrate on. I felt the photos were clear so you could understand what to do. I went through and flagged the exercises that I wanted to concentrate on and it takes me a little over 5 minutes to get them done. The exercises should work, just like working out, as long as you do them. Plus, it's the only workout you can do while sitting on the sofa.

The best facial exercise book you will find. It shows every muscle and what it does for you. Illustrations are so easy to understand how these muscles work . I saw a difference in my neck in 2 weeks. You must keep working on it .....don't get discouraged and one morning while looking in the mirror....you will be amazed.

What a great book. Some explanations are not always very easy to understand and so the practice makes it a little difficult. But this is one or 2 out of 30 exercises. I really love this book and it is my "me" time to make funny faces in the mirror ! I have not taken any pictures of my face before and after 2 weeks of practice but I believe there is a difference (even if it is in my head!!). I started slowly doing the set of exercises , just to get the gist of them and see if I could remember them properly, so I could do them while driving to work. There are some I don't do driving, because people passing me would think I'm crazy. Even my husband laugh at my "smiling" face. It takes a while to do them all, but you don't have to do them all at once. I spread them out during the day. Have fun with this book.

I only got this book yesterday and I did some of the exercises last night. Not all of them. And I didn't do the suggested 10 reps, I did fewer. I'm going to work up to the suggested 10 reps. These are very intense exercises and I woke up this morning and my face was tingling a bit, a good sign. I also have Facial Fitness by Patricia Goroway, which is also a terrific book. Once I've mastered the Pez exercises, I'm planning to do exercises from both books on different days. Both Goroway and Pez explain about the muscles in the face and clearly know what they are talking about. And I'm grateful to both of them.My only criticism is as some other reviewers have said, its not a 5-minute facial workout. its a 30-minute facial workout when you do all of the reps. so that is misleading. other than that, I've no complaints.
