I’ve suffered with life-altering anxiety for 20 years or more and tried many things to counteract it, nothing has helped as much as this book. It shows you your own detrimental thoughts very clearly in easy and short exercises, teaches you simple ways to change those thoughts, and it offers very effective reminders.
I absolutely love this journal!!! I have been finding it to be so inspiring with its words as well as its beautiful artwork. I look forward to writing in it every day. It has really made a positive influence in my life already!!!!! Recommend to anyone who was a fresh, positive outlook!
It's all about the human brain to deal with anxiety, which the human brain is incapable of doing.No reference to the divine Mind to help us find that harmony and peace, and get us into a better place in dealing with human problems and finding ways to solve them.
This journal is wonderful! Thinking and writing about the prompts has calmed my anxiety in a way nothing else has. I just bought her other book "The Mindfulness Workbook for Anxiety" and can't wait to get started with that one!

This slim volume goes MILES in reducing stress and anxiety. I've only been using it for a little over a week and it's something I look forward to every day now. MY only concern is that even though it says daily prompts, it doesn't promise a year's worth, there are around 140 pages and some pages have whimsical drawings and quotes rather than prompts, exercises, or reflections. If this is something you plan on doing every day, it won't last you more than 3 months. Maybe I'll turn around and do it again? Regardless, this little volume is worth every penny, the daily writing prompts or activities only take as long as you want them to, so it's easy to find space for this in your day. A wonderful addition for anyone who needs a little stress relief from life!
Here are samples from my time doing the Mindfulness Journal for Anxiety, by Tanya Peterson, that show how helpful it is. “This is a new idea that anxious thoughts may come, but I do not have to become afraid.†" I can stop thinking that I must be totally anxiety and worry free because if I were, I would be perfect and I’m not!†“I can focus on the present moment and curb anxiety before it gets out of control.†The exercises each worked a little of the anxiety away and they add up!
I received this complementary book from Callisto Publishers with an opportunity to write a review or not. I enjoyed reading the book although I personally experience anxiety on infrequent occasions. As humans, we tend to want "something new" and that this book inspirations only last for about 3 months. In repeating the exercises, it increases the experience of mindfulness in such a way as to allow the brain to create synapses "You are your synapses. They are who you are." --- Joseph LeDoux, 2002 (in Synaptic Self) Then mindfulness has the opportunity to become a habit rather than isolated action. This book is a valuable guide in creating synapses if the reader is willing to avail each step several times rather than demanding a "new" experience as "the mind" has a tendency to demand to avoid boredom. Do not be deceived by the 140 pages or the 3 month time as other comments seem to have fallen prey. As a reader my intention is to stay in willingness and allowing so as to create a habit of mindfulness which will serve me for years.
