Well documented book

This book is the absolute truth concerning the original people of the Bible and the impostors who now inhabit the land of Israel. The research presented here is very accurate, and is a valuable reference to all who seek to know the truth.

I have just got this book I ordered from Amazon expecting to learn some new revelation. On 94 of this book, it says that King Solomon had a son from the Queen of Sheba. I look for a source for this information because as I know as a Bible scholar, no such a thing is ever mentioned throughout the Holy Scriptures in the Bible neither the Old nor the New Testament. To say such a thing in a book that the Bible doesn't say is an attack on Christianity. Many black people are leaving Christianity in groves because they believe that the Bible is written by white people who may have intentionally left out Historical facts about the history of the Black Hebrews to keep them in ignorance about their true identity and history. To be fair to the author, I have only skimmed through the book and my intention is to read through the entire book. But the reason why I bought the book is because I was expecting strong references taken from the Holy Bible and not from questionable, controversial sources such as the “annals of Abyssinia” and a book by the name of “Kebra Nagast” who the Ethiopians holds in very high regard . For example, on page 94, the book says and I quote: "The Queen of Sheba came to court of King Solomon and by all accounts, they did more than play twenty questions. She presented him with a son: “To Saba (Sheba), or Azab, then she returned with her son, Menilek (who was later named David), whom, after keeping him some years, she sent him back to his father to be instructed. Solomon did not neglect his charge; and he (Menilek) was anointed and crown King of Ethiopia, in the Temple in Jerusalem and at his inauguration, took the name of David. Now according to the Bible, 1 Kings 3: 1 it says: “Solomon made an alliance with Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, and married one of his daughters. He brought her to the City of David until he could finish building his palace and the temple of the Lord and the wall around the city.” The Bible doesn’t say that he married an Ethiopian or had a son who was later named David. But instead, according to the Bible, David was the father of Solomon. Bathsheba was David’s wife and Solomon’s mother. When the book says that Solomon had a son who was later named David, it distorts and twist the fact that David was the father of Solomon by saying that Solomon had a son (Menilek) who was later named David. When I decide to read all of the book, if I read something that totally conflicts with the teachings of the Bible, I may stop reading the book. But what I have just quoted above may be just enough to discourage me from finish reading the entire book.

This title came up as a book that I might want to purchase, as I had purchased several historicals texts on Khazaria. Unfortunately, I feel that this book was no more than a thinly veiled personal agenda, without historical documentation or unbiased perspective. My suspicions were confirmed when I checked to see that it was self-published. I am disheartened that people are reading this and being lead to believe that it is scholarly or factual. The "conspiracy theory" proposed is little more than another "Protocols of Zion" hoax.

The previous reviewer fails to realize that just because one has shemitic DNA it does not have to mean that they are an Israelite. One should not use the word "jew", because there is no letter "J" or J-sound in Ibrit/hebrew, nor any CORRECT transliteration that has a letter "J" for english. Just the word YAHUWDIM, from the tribe of YAHUWDAH, not Judah.Anyway..One can clearly see by simply using their scriptures that Edomites are indeed Shemitic people from the line of Esaw/Esau. Ya'acob (so-called Jacob) was from the line of Shem, which would surely make his twin brother Esaw/Esau shemitic aswell.So, don't be fooled just because someone says the "jews" in the land of Yisrael have "shemitic blood" that it makes them the Yahuwdim or another tribe of Yisraelites. The Yishmaelites (Ishmaelites) are clearly Shemitic, but are NOT from the line of Ya'acob/Yisra'el..Notice I said Yishmaelites, not "arabs". Just bcuz one is an arab it doesn't make them a Yishmaelite.The children of Ya'acob are not the only people that descend from Shem. There are many "Shemitic" people, only SOME of them are Yisraelites. And NO, those Edomite Imposters are NOT from the line of Ya'acob/Yisra'el!!And the so-called DNA test that they use on the "jews" is against ANOTHER "jew"...OF COURSE they will match!! What kind of test is that!!!?? They just claim "jew guy A" has the Kohanin genetics, and test the other "jews" againt him, LOL!!Let's do some DNA test against ancient skeletal remains that have been found, and verified as Yisraelite remains...THAT would send the "jews" packing.This book is a pretty good read. I suggest that you might wanna read it with 'The Thirteenth Tribe' and Revelation 2:9 in your scriptures ;)Shalom :)

If you read Barry Lopez River Notes, this book is not that. There is a subtext that comes through -- Leopold loved his work, the outdoors life of a river surveyor, and the rivers he studied -- but this is not a book of naturalist poetry. What it is, is the digest of a lifetime's study of the fluvial morphology of small rivers in America. Leopold indicates early on in the preface that he has not done much work on other continents, on big rivers or in tropical climates. However, these limitations acknowledged, much of what Leopold describes can be generalised into wider contexts. The main limitation for New Zealand readers will be the lack of any real discussion about braided rivers.For students of hydrology and morphology this book could be a primer, or, I suspect, it contains important insights for expert readers too. I am just a student of river projects, and make no claim to any specialist knowledge, but the text is accessible throughout. You don't have to be a scientist to get a lot out of this. It is a kind of exemplar too, because Leopold presents his findings eloquently, clearly, in plain English, and with plenty of illustrations. If you are a scientist I suggest you buy it, if you are an engineer I am not so sure.I must give you some examples of Leopold's knowledge, experience and vision. Hydro engineers will appreciate the value of complete records kept over an extended period of time; the question is always about that minimum flow in years of drought. In Chapter Two, River Measurement, Leopold is discussing the network of gaging stations: "The matter is complicated and will not be treated in detail here. But it is important to realize that many river gaging stations are so affected by the works of man that they do not provide a representation of the hydrology of the river basin". A few pages further in Leopold reveals himself as a very practical man, shunning the black art: "The easiest way to measure velocity is by floats, and the best float is an orange peel. It has just the right specific gravity to float nicely at the surface, it is brightly colored and thus easily seen, and it is readily available". Later, near to the end, Leopold has possibly found some naturally occurring herbs: "The longitudinal profile of a river is concave to the sky".I am glad to have bought my copy of A View of the River. I dip into it when I'm in a dreamy mood, and every time I gain some small insight which seems valuable. It is not a thick book, but the text is reasonably dense, such that there is a lot of knowledge contained in just 298 pages.

A clearly written and almost novel-like description on how rivers work by one of the very best fluvial geologists in the last hundred years. Great read for planners, ecologists, environmentalists, and anyone who loves rivers to little creeks. Describes in non-technical writing what running bodies of water do, why they do it and the need to respect and protect them.

This is a well composed and concise book. It helps me a lot in understanding fluvial river processes, and recommend for anyone who study the same area.

If you're into stream ecology, this is the book for you. there are some videos out there by this guy too.

Very readable. Great analysis of hydrology and the processes that shape rivers.

A View of the River is an excellent summary of fluvial research and patterns. It is not written explicitly as a textbook or reference book, but it could easily be used that way. Organization will always be difficult when including such a wide variety of information. The chapters were organized in an effective way, but a more detailed table of contents or a more extensive index would be helpful for referencing ideas and concepts that appear throughout the book or are connected to concepts proposed at earlier stages in the book. The lack of in-text citation, which the author acknowledges as a compromise in the preface, contributes to the inadequacy of referencing. If one is using this book to conduct amateur analysis on local streams, as the author suggests, better referencing is essential.

It is poorly organized and disjointed, the writing childish, and the grammar pathetic.Regardless of how inexpensive the book is ... it ain't worth the money. The author should be ashamed.

I really like this book! Lots of good information I can use and I loved that it was truthful and easy to read. There is some business information that's a bit hard to wrap your head around, but I realize the author has been around the business awhile, first doing soap making and then doing candles and eventually, I too may "get" the language. lol! I would recommend this book to anyone that wants to get into candle making and is considering making a move to sell retail and/or wholesale.

It's hard to overstate how terrible this book is -- and reading the many poorly written positive reviews I can only assume they are bought and paid for. This book fails at teaching you how to make candles, and fails at teaching you how to start a candle-making business.A couple examples: in the beginning where she is explaining how to make candles, the author neglects to mention how to put the wick in the candle. In the business section, less than one page is given to starting an online business (you know, what almost everyone would want to do). But she gives the same or less space to any other way -- it's more of an outline for a book than an actual book. The font is large with huge space between lines and it still ends up as a super thin (clearly self-published) book, because there just isn't enough information to fill a book.

Downloaded this book while it was on free promo and found it to be very helpful. I think she tried to put two books under one, it is a two part book, I was only interested in the first part where she details out how to make candles, and that is what I wanted to know and learn. The second part is about how to get into the business of selling candles, to me that is not something I am looking to do at this moment, but looks like she packed a lot of info in it.

This book gives a great generalized overview of the business aspects as well as what supplies are needed and generally how to make candles. I had no idea how much actually went into making each kind of candle and i have a healthier respect for what to expect as i get started.

Very helpful with good ideas for candles and for business startup

What a great book. This book is teaching me everything I need to know about candle making and more. I would definitely recommend this book.

Tony Horwitz is a native of Washington, D.C., and a graduate of Brown University and Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism.
