Even though I didn't expect the book to be small, I still enjoyed looking the design and concept of Space Jam! I collect Art and Design books like this to inspire me to be a cartoonist, animator, or at least an illustrator for children's books, cards, and whatnot.

I was a little disappointed with the size of this artbook - it's pocket size! The images and text are too small, although I don't regret buying it, just wish I had read the dimensions before buying. Still looks good, but it does no justice to the movie. If you're an art book enthusiast and like to see high quality big images, then you'll be better off just taking screenshots of the movie or looking up the production drawings on Google.

This is unfortunately nowhere near a complete translation of Nietzsche's work. The translator notes in a footnote that he has not translated the last three sections of the work (since he thinks these sections have "little to do with reflecting on Schopenhauer as educator"), but what he doesn't tell you is that these omitted sections amount to nearly half of the text! In the Cambridge edition (Untimely Meditations), the entire work is pp. 127-194. The portion that Pellerin has translated for his edition (sections I-V) is, in the Cambridge edition, pp. 127-161. He has not translated sections VI-VIII. This means we only have here about 51% of the complete text (35/68 pages). It would be helpful if readers were told this upfront. It simply is not accurate to describe this as a translation of Nietzsche's work when it only consists of about half of his text.

It was about time. Pellerin should consider applying his gifts to more German texts in need of a fresh and better look.

So far, this is my favorite Nietzsche read yet and one of my favorite philosophy reads in a long time. I always appreciate Nietzsche's insight when speaking of what philosophy is and what a true philosopher is. In "Philosophy in the Tragic Age of the Greeks," he conceives of the philosopher as someone seeking to hear within himself the echoes of the world symphony and to re-project them in the form of concepts. In this work, he is up to something similar. Academic philosophers, he says, “elude the challenge of every great philosophy, which as a whole always says only: this is the picture of all life, and learn from it the meaning of your own life. And the reverse: only read your own life and comprehend from it the hieroglyphics of universal life.”The philosophy of education and education of philosophy in this work is perhaps priceless. Nietzsche describes education as knowing oneself--a task requiring almost herculean effort. Here's one great passage among many: “Let the youthful soul look back on life with the question: what have you truly loved up to now, what has drawn your soul aloft, what has mastered it and at the same time blessed it? Set up these revered objects before you and perhaps their nature and their sequence will give you a law, the fundamental law of your own true self. Compare these objects with one another, see how one completes, expands, surpasses, transfigures another, how they constitute a stepladder on which you have clambered up to yourself as you are now; for your true nature lies, not concealed deep within you, but immeasurably high above you, or at least above that which you usually take yourself to be.”The short length of this extended essay makes it an easy book to read (or reread) in a few sittings. I've read it in the collection of four Untimely Meditations published by Cambridge and translated by Hollingdale: Nietzsche: Untimely Meditations (Cambridge Texts in the History of Philosophy). For the current used price, you might consider getting all four essays. "On the Uses and Disadvantages of History" is also a great meditation to read.

It is geared to the mature high school or undergraduate learner as reference, or for use as an adjunct text in a course with an instructional grammar book. (This volume is, in fact, an additional, recommended resource for JACT's "Reading Greek" set for learning ancient -- chiefly Attic -- Greek.)This is a handy, well-organized book with a very useful section on the "101 Most Common Irregular Verbs."Best of all, this is a very affordable book in comparison with much of its competition.

This book boils down the essentials of ancient Greek grammar into a very compact format--and for a very reasonable price. It's remarkably thorough for its length. It doesn't obviate the need for Smyth's grammar if you are serious about engaging with ancient Greek, but at an elementary level, it provides all the information you really need, and at a more advanced level it can serve as a handy quick reference tool.

I am a student in Classics at the University of Bucharest (Romania), this being my last year of studies. This book has fulfilled my expectations. Being a small book, I can take it with me everywhere, and repeat the Greek grammar. Whenever I translate something from Greek and I have problems with a grammatical form, I look into this easy to search book and I usually find a solution to my problem. Of course, this happens when I don't have time to look into bigger and more profound grammars like the ones written by Smith, Goodwin etc. But, as the author says, this Oxford grammar is based on Smith. I recommend this book especially to those who want to repeat the essentials of the accidence and syntax of Ancient Greek.

Very good condition, slightly damaged, wonderful guide.

I found the Grammar of Classical Greek to be very informative as it has continuously shown itself to strengthen both my lexicon and understanding of both ancient and modern Greek, both to which it heavily applies. In fact, it has also shown me how little modern Greek has changed in comparison to Classical Greek. With this in light, I was thoroughly unconvinced by its argument on the pronunciation of the alphabet and the words herein, which have been firmly preserved by the Greek Orthodox Church since St. Ignatius in the mid-1st century, which continues to use Classical Greek as the language for its liturgical services, unaffected by the slight changes in the vulgar which consequently resulted in the Greek spoken today.Overlooking this shortcoming, the book gave a fantastic insight into the grammar and proper conjugations, even for the irregular verbs and nouns. This tool will be useful to me even after the book starts falling apart from age and use. I would even suggest searching for a hardcover copy of the book...

Not all-inclusive like some of the bigger grammars, but the handy size more than makes up for it. Once you learn the basic syntax and morphology, it's time for you to grab a lexicon and find the principle parts yourself anyway... while reading or translating a piece. Ha!

It is hard not to like a Vermeer painting. They are simple yet elegant. They have light streaming into everyday interiors in a way that can not be matched.Unfortunately art historians have only identified 34 or 35 Vermeer paintings. To look at the painting "The Astronomer", one is not surprised that Hitler looted it for his own personal collection. We are thankful that the Monuments Men recovered it and that is now in The Louvre. This book has large sized color reproductions of all of Vermeers work and is a joy to look through.

This exceptional work showcases Vermeer's oeuvre with very high quality reproduction. Note especially the clarity of two wondrous Vermeer portraits, the Girl with the Pearl Earring and the Girl with the Red Hat; both have been recently cleaned and restored and are presented here with much of the the subtle values and luminous color characteristic of the originals. The landscapes are beautifully captured to scale: The Little Street shimmers with tincture of bricks and mortar, while The View of Delft generates a sense of lapidary majesty. I'm not sure he should have included the controversial St. Praxedis, for many scholars have rejected its attribution to Vermeer. But his commentary as well as his methodology for dating the paintings is informed by the best scholarship, for Wheelock has been at the forefront over the last several decades in bringing Vermeer to the public at large.Given the price, this book is a terrific value. It can be used on the coffee table and as an essentail companion when reading other volumes about Vermeer. Better still, take it with you as you visit personally all the Vermeers in the New York (the Metropolitan and the Frick) and Washington, DC( the National Gallery) museums.

I love Vermeer and his superb talent. I have always been a fan, so I decided to get this book. It is huge! I love the oversized feel to it, and the color is vivid and captures his work perfectly (as well as a book can). If you like Vermeer, ​you have to get this.

A beautiful book. The quality of the oversized prints are some of the best I've seen in any art book I've studied. The writing is short and succinct but very good, just enough to stimulate the reader to simultaneously read online interpretations. For what it is the product is very good. You can view Vermeer's paintings in full color (if you have Kindle Fire) and it helps you to better understand the story. My caveats are 1. The images are too small and 2. There is very little information about each painting. 3. The image of the painting of the girl with the pearl earring was distorted on my Kindle Fire.

Wonderful images, from painter that really did seem to paint with light. He had a small amount of work in his life but what he did is profound. Vermeer is a powerful and awe inspiring artist. This book shows you why. Great images of his work.

Published in 2015, many of the links provided were defunct as the domains were up for sale. Unfortunately for us, we live in NJ and many available programs in the book are not available for NJ residents. However, I didn't bother checking to see if those links were defunct. I bought the Kindly version so I don't feel as bad spending the money. Chapters are extremely short with bulleted information. Disclaimer author provides is she did a quick internet search. You can do the same.

My son is in middle school at a public school and we are not impressed at all with the quality of education that he is receiving. We are fearful that things are only going to get worse as he moves into high school and have begun to look at private schools. They are incredibly expensive and we are so glad that we found author Shay Spivey's guide to finding free financial aid and scholarships to help out. This is an amazing guide that contains over thirty tips to help find financial aid for private high school. There is some priceless information in this book and we are already putting it to work for us.

Terrible! My mother had high hopes for this book. They were instantly dashed when it arrived. The book so extraordinarily thin and the majority of the pages had bullet points. There were a list of links that were supposed to "help" but only lead to a blank webpage. Everything in this book you can easily found online. Don't waste your fifteen dollars, my mother says it's the worst product she's ever purchased in her entire life.

Not helpful for me. Most of the information was for low income families and academic achieving children. I have a child who is on the spectrum and needs one on one teaching. I have read all 19 Joe Pickett novels and have recommended the series to a lot of people, but this is the last. The body count has just grown way too high and too gratuitous in such a violent world as ours has become. While I embrace poetic license, this is just more than I can tolerate.

“Wolf Pack” is C. J. Box at his absolute best. I thought the long-running series was in decline after “Vicious Circle” and “The Disappeared.” But this latest book represents a full turnaround. Most readers will finish this compelling novel in one or two sittings.Its plot is intricate, relentless, and up-date; the good guys are nuanced; and the villains come in various forms—some plain evil, others merely contemptible. No surprise then that there’s lots of violence in the story. But killing—whether of animals or people—always has consequences in Joe Pickett’s world.

C. J. Box never disappoints with his series. I have read all 19 books in the Joe Pickett series and always preorder the next one as soon as it becomes available, I hope there are many more to come. When you start reading this novel you can’t put it down, I just received it today and read the entire book. I would highly recommend this book to all, but especially to those who hunt and enjoy the great outdoors. Can’t wait for the next one to see how he tops this one. C.J. Box is one of my favorite authors.

My review of “Wolf Pack” came a little more slowly, and with more deliberation than I normally give. This is because I got the Audible edition at the same time I bought the Kindle edition.STAND-ALONE: It can be read as a stand-alone, but the greatest appreciation will come for devotees of the series.CLIFFHANGER. No. Although there surely will be more Pickett novels, this does not end with a cliffhanger.If I were to rate this only based on the Audible narration, I’d be hard-pressed to rate it four stars, as the writing comes across as just a bit too much of an info dump. However, when I read the Kindle version, the info dump is much more invisible, so I am rating it more highly.WRITING & EDITING: Professional. The flow is good, and the historical bits are interesting. Sometimes the inter-agency tension seems too drawn out, but, as someone who has witnessed just how antagonistic the various factions within the federal and state agencies can be, it had the feeling of authenticity.BLUSH FACTOR: The number of eff words is more than you’ll want to read with your prayer group, probably, but it is not excessive for most folks. Certainly not for me. I mention it only for those for whom it might annoy.No graphic sex, but some of the violence might disturb a few readers. I appreciated the realistic portrayal, though.BOTTOM LINEI enjoyed this murder mystery and consider it a fine Action-Adventure.

Much of the storyline was illogical, with inaccurate statistics that were used to justify FBI activities. The body count, and the level of mayhem made this book extremely distasteful.

I've read almost everything written by him, including all of this lengthy series, and he never disappoints (and I'm working on catching up on the couple of books I've missed after I finish this review). Wyoming happens to be one of my favorite states too so that adds a lot of appeal.This is book #19 in the Joe Pickett series about Game Warden Joe Pickett of the Wyoming Fish and Game Department. Joe has his job back (after losing it temporarily in book #18) with the help of former Wyoming Governor Rulon acting as his attorney. And actually he gained some great benefits during the process.In this tale, Joe ends up working with a female game warden from the next District over trying to track down an illegal drone operator who is harming wildlife. They get help from his falconer best friend Nate Romanowski.Added into the mix are the FBI, the DOJ and some dangerous out-of-towners.If you've enjoyed Box's other books, you'll surely love this one. Box is a consistently fine author and I highly recommend this latest book.I'm off now to read SHOTS FIRED, a collection of ten short stories based in Joe Pickett's world, that I somehow missed before this.

Dang now have to wait patiently until August when J C Box's next book arrives. Just saying. Enjoyed this book though I have a tendency to see ahead sometimes too far. My bad I've been dong this since my middle school years wehn I discovered Mysteries and read everyone pretty much worth reading in Townsends Broadwater county MT library in the 60's. Much more picky these days. Box and Craig Johnson are two of my favorites along with a number of others. Husband also enjoys. We buy hard copies if at all posible we have an e-reader which is nicer for travel than paperbacks but nothing beats a good solid hardbound book. And oh yes....the review of the story. YOu don't want me to spoil it do you? Yes body count is up like one unhappy person. If they are feeling jaded with todays world of ugly and evil things happening to good people then of course the question comes to mind WHY on earth are they reading MURDER mysteries at all? I think Box has become a lot more skilled over the years writing. And I also think this book is one of his best. Sorry to say so long to a past character or two as they fell into the fatal category. Again can't say who because YOU would be sad and yes I had tobite my tongue not to share anything with my husband. He often reads my saved up books before I do. This was spring fever or winter blues knee jerk had to read it the moment it arrived. Now I wish I'd saved it. Life is good...probably you'll enjoy if you are a Joe Picket fan this being his 19th installment.
