At first, I did not enjoy this book as much as its predecessor. It seemed more of a Willow monologue. However, it finally developed into an interesting tale.

I have to agree with the negative reviews. This is my fourth read in the series and I really enjoyed the previous ones. It is just so “wordy”. It was like wading through treacle. So many random allusions to topical movies and events especially the vampire movies. I had to google both dogs names to see what they meant! I am ploughing my way through. I wrote the following WhatsApp msg to my published writer daughter. This leads on to a random conversation. Word count? How does any of this drive the story forward? I wonder whether Debbie thought that as readers had enjoyed the earlier books, she had to write Willow’s story and of course the full-blown Alzheimer’s illness. My mother had vascular dementia, and I’m an only child whom she did not recognize even if I had dyed my hair pink. Disappointing and boring. I am 3/4 of the way through and am hoping it’s going to pick up some pace. I have just finished Chapter 24, which has to be the most boring chapter out. Only 15 more to go.

Willow Longbottom works at the cafe part-time, and her own cleaning business, plus she cares for her mother, Lynnie, who has Alzheimer’s disease which is a full-time job. Willow has 3 half siblings but none are involved in Lynnie’s care until this book.Willow becomes reconnected with a boy that she met many years ago when she takes on a cleaning job at Briarwood. Willow has a chance at love but is she wise enough to take it?

Another excellent book by Debbie Johnson about life at the Comfort Food Cafe. As with all the previous books about the Comfort Food Cafe this one is a winner. I love how she weaves the lives of all the characters together in all the books so you feel like you know them, almost as if you are there with them. I can not wait until the next book in the series comes out! ☺

I was so excited to receive this book and read it, that I made myself a big lot of Tea and just sat down to read, in fact no one got fed, my dogs did not get walked and no housework got done. I laughed, cried, cheered and danced while reading this book. As with all of the Comfort Food Cafe books, this book left me feeling warm, fuzzy and happy. I do so hope that there will be other Comfort Food Cafe books as I believe that both Auburn and Van have their own stories to tell.

I've been so excited to learn Willow's story and was not disappointed. Knowing the issues she has with Lynnie throughout the other three books I knew it would be heartbreaking in some ways. Alzheimer's is an unforgiving disease and Ms. Johnson did a great job showing the anguish of losing someone you love to it. Willow's struggles to find herself and to truly love life were ones everyone can relate to. Tom was a fantastic addition to the Bradbury bunch and rounded out the picture we have of Willow. Of course it's always nice to see the whole gang in action whether rallying around their own or welcoming the new into the fold. And bless Big Edie - her wisdom shines in each book but I thought it was particularly well timed in this story.

I fell in love with this book... the Characters, the Village, the BFF's one can depend on, the Dogs, the Storyline... Everything about it! I want to move there & have them All as friends! They were So recognizable in a Real People way! It was also relatable because my own Mum has dementia, so Lynnie's problems were definitely recognizable.I love Debbie Johnson's style of writing so much that I've purchased every book She's written & they're now All on my Kindle & my phone. I've also driven all of my female family members & female friends crazy, by bugging them to get this book & Will Not give up until they're all reading it, lol! I Just might have to start a Book Club & now I can't Wait to open the first page of the next Book!

Another delightful read from Debbie Johnson. Having read a few back to back thrillers I was ready for a change and this proved to be a lovely sorbet in between readings. Debbie draws you in with the characters and her books always leave me smiling.

Highly recommended!!! Better than Netter for lab dissection. The cadavers photographs of anatomical structures really helps you learn the structure's location on a cadaver.In terms of learning anatomical structure, this is the 2nd best resource (nothing bets learning anatomy from a cadaver). Prefect resource when you can't or too lazy to go to Cadaver lab. The photographs instead of drawings, helps you get a better visualization of structures, and really helps for lab test.Each page of the atlas contains many labels and structures, so you don't have to flip through page by page looking for a structure. Saves a lot of time!!! Very detailed photographs, photographs are the "cream of the crop" cadavers, illustrating the anatomical structure for easy visualization. So far I didn't find any mistake or misspelling of any anatomical structures, however some names do vary from other atlas/text.Con: There absolutely no text or material content in this atlas, this is basically a true atlas listing out all the anatomical structures. No study guides or end of the chapter quiz (However comes with an online code that does come with online quizzes).

If you're looking for a book for a med school Gross Anatomy class, I definitely recommend this book! Whether it's the best resource for an undergrad or grad level anatomy class, really depends on the depth of the specific class. This would have been overkill, and essentially useless, for my undergrad anatomy class.Regarding med school recommendation: I would definitely get this book and use it to study with from the start. I can't stress enough how important it is to look at real structures when studying for Anatomy. This is your best bet, 2nd to the actual cadaver lab, of course. Animations or drawings just don't really work well at this level. This book is great, because you can quiz yourself or just look up examples of different structures when you can't (or don't want to) go to lab. Do consider that it contains only pictures, so it is just a supplemental resource and you will need to use another text like Grant's Anatomy or whatever your school recommends to learn beyond strictly identification.FYI: Rohen's also puts out flash cards. I haven't tried those, but my classmates really liked them. Also if you buy new, there's an online access code. I haven't had the chance to try mine out, but a classmate said it offers some additional quizzes and resources.

By far the best anatomy atlas for medical school, especially if you have lab practicals with the cadavers. Cadaver anatomy looks very different from the drawings, and a photographic atlas is a step in the right direction. Keep in mind though, it won't substitute for the hours you put into studying the cadavers in person - no dissection or prosection you see in real life will ever be as clean and neat as Rohen's photos.

An absolute must-have for medical school gross anatomy. Has real, labeled cadaver pictures from a variety of angles supplemented with diagrams of neurovasculature. If you're only going to buy one book for anatomy, buy this one. (But I suggest you buy two: Rohens and Netters)

This is an amazing book. I studied with some classmates who had this book and decided to buy one for myself because of how helpful this book was for gross anatomy lab. It's much better than the Color Atlas of Anatomy and is useful with or without Netter's (although the Netter's flashcards are also an amazing study tool). Given that I plan on keeping this book for quite a while I decided to buy a brand new one. It arrived slightly damaged, with the front cover and many pages bent. If this were a used copy I wouldn't care, but for a brand new and expensive book this was unacceptable. Hopefully the replacement comes in new condition. My assumption, however, is that the damage occurred at the amazon warehouse because many of the new books I have purchased this year have arrived damaged, either with bent pages or scuffed up covers.

This book is helping me out so much in gross anatomy. It was not a required book for the course, but as a first time student in gross it allows me to see the nerves and lymphatics at home before coming into the lab and dissecting. I personally like it better than Netter's and it does have some illustrations similar to the Netter's book.

This book is amazing. Five million stars. It's like having an anatomy cadaver lab in the comfort of your home minus the smells. So nice for studying in PA school. Worth every penny and then some. Of all the money I spent on Anatomy study resources this hands down was THE most important. Buy this book.

I can definitely say this book has been a lifesaver! The photographs are incredibly detailed and it's super helpful since tests/practicals are based on real bones and cadavers not diagrams. Most other atlases are great but it's much easier to visualize the info with these photographs. It's pretty expensive to buy this textbook, so I just rented it from Amazon, which is a great deal for a student budget.

Don't get me wrong; the information was solid though it doesn't go much beyond other very basic recommendations about preventive maintenance. My biggest issue, I guess, was that, as a podcast transcript it's more tedious to read through to get what you want. It's do-able, but it doesn't offer advantages over the basic material organized in a more accessible way. Also, I felt the price was out of line for the content and manner of presentation.

Although all the key basic information was there, the interview format was distracting. A little more detail should have been provided.

Mr. Koehler's Mower and Lawn Mower Manual certainly takesa lot of the guesswork out trying to figure out why my mower does not start.His practical, down to earth approach makes the learning process easy andfun.I heartily reccomend this book (I understand a CD is available)to ALLhomeowners. Also, a great gift for the men in your life!

No frills here! I believe this should be required reading for anyone who has a small engine in their possession!

Good read for any mower owner. Novice or professional. Experienced owners will find this to be a great refresher. Short and effective.

The story was enjoyed by my daughter (she is a big Geronimo Stilton fan) but the page layout on the Kindle only utilized a small portion of the page space. I exhausted all efforts in the page set up to try to increase the sizing but to no avail. Only the pictures could be increased in size and that had to be done one page/picture at a time. I will ensure to "preview" all book purchases in the future where available to avoid this.

I think it's about a little mouse being alone on Christmas eve but he isn't alone on Christmas because all his folks and friends and family come to surprise the little mouse on Christmas eve when he did not know they were come to celebrate Christmas eve with the little mouse and they sat down and had a big feast and Christmas eve was the best day of their lives

Geronimo Stilton has invited the whole family to his house for Christmas, but everyone decide to spend the holidays somewhere else.So poor Geronimo is left feeling so lonely and abandoned he goes wandering the streets, encouraging random strangers that he runs into - including a young mugger who has nearly attacked him in the park! - to come celebrate with him at his home.Then EVERYONE Geronimo personally knows, even the ENTIRE newspaper staff that he supervises, all show up to surprise him! Luckily, Geronimo magically has enough pie and soup available to feed the ENORMOUSE crowd as well as have enough room for ALL of the guests that one memorable Christmas night.Cute story, but I don't really care for the rather pious message at the ending: "Dear mouse friends, how will you celebrate your Christmas? I hope you will spend it with someone who loves you."Save it for Valentine's Day, old mouse! >:(Geronimo is just too AFRAID to be alone especially on Christmas, so why else would he welcome a potential criminal into his own house? He could always invite his young crush, Petunia Pretty Paws, but she hasn't yet been created at the time, LOL. How about Shadow? Sure, she may be a sneaky crook, but she's a beautiful young blonde like Petunia is - and Geronimo really likes beautiful young blondes at least 20 years his junior, doesn't he?Never mind; Shadow would probably leave Geronimo bound and gagged with only socks on and take all his valuables, too."You can have all the cheese in the world, but if you don't have love in your life, the cheese will taste like moldy socks! Why? because it was really short and it needs more adventurous details in it that is my review but it is a goood book. (Just to let you know, this review was written by my daughter, Abby, who is a HUGE Geronimo Stilton fan.)

I bought this book for my granddaughter's kindle but it is unreadable it's so small and the letters do not get any larger no matter what we do. She doesn't want to read it now. I'm not pleased that this is not made clear in the description of the book. I want my money back for this.

My 8 year old son just loves the Geronimo Stilton series. I have only read one of the books, and they are very cute. I like the creative way the author uses fonts and colors to express emotion in the story.

We bought several Geronimo Stilton for my granddaughter. These were books she asked for and seems to like them. I don't know a lot about the books but I can say she sat down shortly after Christmas and read one of the books that night. She must have thought they were good or she would have put it down. Amazon's price was good and we received them when they said we would.

I really liked this book because it was very friendly and sweet. Geronimo made lots of new friends and I liked the big surprise at the end, plus the food sounded delicious especially because I 💗 CHEESE. And I liked how his family told him they were going on trips but they were actually going to surprise him.

He served as consulting editor far the 1998 book Chanting Down Babylon: The Rastafari Reader. The Rev. Mr. Chisholm studied at the Jamaica School of Music, the Jamaica Theological Seminary, the University of the West Indies, the University of Sheffield (England), the International Academy of Apologetics, Evangelism & Human Rights (France) and Biola University (U.S.A), He holds two Masters Degrees, an honourary D.D and is a Fellow of the International Academy. Chisholm is perhaps the world's leading critic of the Rastafari faith, an authority and credibility for which he prepared through his research in Jamaica among Rastas, and his post-graduate degrees in Christian Apologetics and Biblical Studies on two different continents.Chisholm attacks and debunks the foundational link of the late Ethiopian Emperor Haile Selassie I, with Rastafari, exposing the links as more fanciful than historical, pointing out that the Emperor was neither God nor claimed to be God, but instead professed faith in the Christian God.Each chapter corresponds to one of the 8 categories of revelations with which he is concerned.With his superior exegetical skills, Chisholm attacks the claim that Selassie may be linked dynastically with King Solomon of Israel, that Sheba was Ethiopia, and that Sheba's Queen left Jerusalem bearing Solomon's child. In his revelations on Selassie's names and titles (pp.24-26), he shows how ignorance of Ethiopian history and customs leads to the crucial fallacy that Selassie was anything more than the 'king of the kings' of Ethiopia, only.The much revered Rastafari reference book, the Kebra Nagast, comes in for a diligently argued position contrary to popular Rastafari belief (pp.27-31). Chisholm meticulously argues to disprove any idea that Jesus was either Black or must have had dreadlocks.Philosophical (as well as historical) arguments see him through his Revelations regarding the claim that Rastafari is superior to Christianity. Here he educates as he repudiates fallacious claims regarding religions intrinsic to Africa.On the critical side, Chisholm, devotes about 20% of the material in this book to a collection of articles and reports on debates relevant to the book's thesis, in the appendices. These could have been better organized under chapter headings. Some readers will sense disconnection between the appendices and the chapters.Many readers may also see this book as one by a scholar writing for scholars and so not for popular appeal. Although a slender rather than voluminous work it is unlikely to be read at one sitting. It is intense and yet highly focused and so no attempt is made to assess the Rastafari Movement sociologically, as is customary in academia. Therefore, there is no attempt to praise the Movement for anything.A generous section of notes, index and a bibliography are provided, indicating its scholarly character. However, technical errors although few, would include the following: the failure to identify, on page 23, penultimate paragraph, Theodore as identical to the earlier mentioned Tewodros; a note on page 37, appendix 1, cites page 63 instead of page 64; and, on page 38, 4th paragraph, the 1st and last lines should spell 'complimentary' instead of 'complementary'. Nevertheless, despite those critical observations, Revelations on Ras Tafari is indispensable for every intellectual and serious student of Rastafari, Caribbean studies, Caribbean History, Sociology and Theology.

I was afraid this book would be nothing but a repetition of all I knew about GG already, after having devotedly seen all seven seasons of the show. Instead, I came upon a pleasant writing, offering a different view of the show. An outside, real life view, not a fictional Stars Hollow citizen one. As being the Pop Culture references one of the major highlights of this show, the reference glossary on the back of this book will delight any pop culture fan and remind us of Amy Sherman-Palladino's wittily written dialogues that Lorelai and Rory gave life to.

I liked the book, but I honestly thought that it was a sequel to the original Daisy Goodwin novel "Victoria," wwhen I ordered it. However, it is a good companion piece for the Victoria series on PBS,

Beautiful accompaniment to the TV show. This tells more behind the scenes with commentary on the real story. Great piece to add to the TV show which was beautifully well done.

This is a good book about Queen Victoria. It has some stories in it from notes written to her at the time she was Queen. It covers more than the Victoria series did. I like it!

The book is beyond my expectations. It give an in-depth insight about the love story of Victoria and Albert as well as something behind the series.

I was really hoping this was a novel continuation but it isn't. It's beautifully written and enjoyable read but I was SUPER bummed because I really wanted a novel. It's my fault for not reading the description. I loved the first novel and hope there's another one!

This is not part 2 of the novel Victoria by Daisy Goodwin, which is what I expected after reading that book. This one has photos from Season 1 and 2 of the Masterpiece movie and information about living in 19th Century England. It is like a history lesson with movie photos. Not sure what to think.

This book provides lots of insider information of the royal couple and the Victorian era. There are also many photos and details about creating the tv drama.

Book three of the four part Dublin Trilogy is actually an insert acting as a prequel going back 18 years to a formative period in several of the Trilogy's major characters' lives. Front and center is Bunny McGarry who came across as a hardened sleeze ball in A Man With One of Those Faces, the opening entry in the Dublin Trilogy. Profane, obese, unwashed, and a violent rogue cop, he was no one a normal person would seem to want to have in their lives. Going into more depth, entry two, The Day That Never Comes softened his image considerably with tales of the many people Bunny has aided in his speckled career. Angels in the Moonlight continues that bent by introducing us to a younger and far more innocent McGarry. Along the way in his trial by fire he/we will meet bent cops, a kid he saved in a fire years ago now making his play to be Dublin's drug kingpin, a runaway jazz singer who captures his heart, rogue nuns with an agenda as well as a killer for hire FBI agent and a cop friend who will test his loyalty to the limits. If he survives he will not come out untouched by the flame. My only caveat was the video game/Hollywood action hero antics near the end that snapped the believability of the story up to that point. Superior world building, fetching characters, fast moving plot line and a few surprisingly tender moments highlight this entry into my greater European crime drama series of choice.Note: to complete the back story to the Dublin saga I recommend the free download of How To Send A Message at Caimh McDonnell's website: whitehairedirishman.com Amazon does not allow outside links so you will have to type it in by hand. A collection of various short stories, the back story on the rogue nuns caught my fancy as did several of the other shorts included. Freebies tend to be garbage where this writing was the equal to his longer work.

I loved this book! It takes my favorite character from the Dublin Trilogy (Detective Bunny McGarry) and transports us back to 1999. (On the edge of Y2K doom, among other far-more-tangible threats) McGarry’s further adventures (or should I say – his previous adventures) are very, very entertaining. Caimh McDonnell is a great storyteller. You can’t wait to turn-the-next-page. Of course, as expected, we get a great crime adventure filled with action and suspense. It is a fascinating look inside the An Garda Síochána and Ireland. McDonnell has clearly done his homework. However, a real bonus is the humor. McDonnell writes great dialog and many’s the time I had to put the book down to recover from a fit of laughter. His great, dry Irish wit is on ample display. He throws darts at some deserving targets that we love to see skewered. I cannot get enough. So, when you finish this outstanding read you will want to follow the further adventures of Detective Sergeant Bunny McGarry and the Gardaí in the first two books of the Dublin trilogy: A Man With One Of Those Faces and The Day That Never Comes. In addition, rumor has it that the third book in the Dublin trilogy is coming our way soon. That’s good news for anyone who likes a great, entertaining story well told.

I continue to enjoy this author and his writings.This is another well written novel with a decent plot and with enough intrigue to keep things rolling along.I seldom critique anyone English nor sentence structure but in this case I consider it only right to report that once again I find this novel like the others flawless. This point may not be thought of as a big deal but there is nothing more distracting than being bombarded with poor sentence structure and spelling errors.If I was to point out what I do see as a fault it is the numbering of the novels in the trilogy. In my opinion this, the third book should be read first. By so doing one would better understand conflicts in the books presently numbered one and two.Critic

Angels in the Moonlight was a fun read. As the subtitle states, this is a prequel tothe Dublin Trilogy, set in 1999, and fleshes out the Bunny McGarry character from thoseearlier novels. The McGarry we knew through those stories was an irascible, unpredictableloner and often a deus (of chaos)-ex-machina. Angels in the Moonlight humanizes Bunny through three main story lines. There'sa love story when McGarry meets Simone, a mysterious, sultry American on the lam.We meet Bunny's partner in the Garda, Gringo. Some of the best and funniest dialoguein the book is contained in their conversations. And a cops and robbers story where theGarda has to take down a ring of Dublin thieves attempting to branch out into thedrug trade. I read the book in two sittings and probably would have finished it in one if I hadn'tstarted it so late in the day. The three arcs work well together and are intertwined in away that keeps you repeatedly going to just one more chapter late into the night. McDonnell injects a lot of humor into his novels and there were some very funnymoments in Angels in the Moonlight. The dialogue is wonderful (and us Yanks get tolearn a lot of Dublin slang) as well as hilarious situations, like the opening scenewith the "jumper". A review I read of his first book, "A Man with One of Those Faces",compared McDonnell to Carl Hiassen and Elmore Leonard. That's a very apt descriptionof his fiction. In the same mold would be Don Winslow’s early books with Neal Carey,Gregory McDonald's immortal Fletch series, George Chesbro's more obscure Mongoseries, and of course the multiple series of Tim Hallinan. If you’ve enjoyed any of thoseauthors, you'll love this book. I read the Kindle edition and the copyediting was well done. I didn't spot any misspellingsand there weren't any jarring errors in layout that interrupted the read. To be completely transparent, I received a review copy of Angels in the Moonlightfrom the author after he asked for review volunteers on his mailing list. But I don't knowthe author. I've just enjoyed the previous books in the Dublin Trilogy and thank thereviewers who convinced me to give Caihm McDonnell a try.
